Abstract

Internet use has become excessive these days. Looking at the details of broadband internet in their telephone bill last month, it was found that the households used 260 gigabytes of data this month. And 4 million pages can be saved on a single CD of 680 megabytes. Now you can estimate for yourself how much data will be 260 gigabytes. It is also important to mention here that mobile phone is in addition to data. When we checked our mobile data, the usage of SMS, calls and internet was 23%, 12% and 77% respectively. Here also a clear difference can be seen in the use of internet. In the financial year 2018-2019, the usage of data on broadband networks was 2545 petabytes which was an increase of 113% compared to the year 2017-2018. The department had deposited more than Rs 96 billion in the national exchequer in terms of taxes, duties and duties. According to a recent State Bank of Pakistan statement, the Corona epidemic has significantly increased the trend of internet and mobile banking in the country. Internet and mobile banking are becoming an important means of meeting the daily banking and financial needs of consumers. Their growth is expected to continue in the next quarter. Apart from the banking sector, the Internet is also being used in other sectors, in which the education sector is prominent. Schools, colleges and universities are using WhatsApp, Zoom and YouTube etc. to keep their students engaged in educational activities. Where students do not have internet and other facilities, there are also protests against online classes. According to the Global Web Index's 2018 survey, Internet users are online for an average of six hours a day. The survey was conducted in 34 countries. There are places where people stay online for an average of nine hours a day.
